Salary

Example:

If the calculation is for monthly salary of $20,000, if you don't enter any hours it will default to the $20,000

If you would like to enter hours worked, to figure the number of hours to make this work, use 2080/12 (where 2080 is the number of working hours typical in a year). This works out to 173.33 for each monthly period.

Salaried means different things to different companies. Some companies pay a flat rate no matter the hours worked. Some pay an equivalent amount per hour for the actual hours worked. Some even pay overtime for salaried persons.

It is only when you put in hours that it assumes one of those other situations exist.
