Deduction Calculations

Deduction Calculations in Admin -> Payroll -> General Deductions can be figured by:

% of taxable pay
% of taxable pay less income tax
$ of taxable pay less SS tax
% of S.T. pay
Hours worked
Hours paid
S.T. hours
Weekly amount
Amt 1 week/month
% of FICA taxable pay

Each General Deduction can be targeted towards either hourly or salaried workers. 

When assigned to a Group (Grp. field), all employees who are part of the Group will have the deduction pulled.

You can add and edit Deduction Groups by going to Admin -> Payroll -> Deduction Groups.

Assign Deduction Groups to employees when editing employees (Payroll -> Employees) by clicking the Benefit Plans button at the top of the page and then selecting the appropriate Deduction Groups in the Deduction Info section. Click Save when done.
