Composite Item with parts and labor

Is there anyway to set up a parts number in the inventory system that has labor and parts built as a kit and only charge tax on the parts that were in the kit?

Once a kit is created, NolaPro doesn't do anything with the subitems once the kit item is placed on an order. It becomes a new entity, so parts of it can't be tax exempt if other parts are taxable. The whole kit has to be taxable or non-taxable.

You can check out Item Option Groups though. This allows you to add options that are tax exempt.
