Bank and/or Service Charges

If you are assessed bank charges or earn interest on an account, you can add these amounts automatically as GL entries while completing a bank reconciliation (Ledger -> Bank Reconciliation).

On the Bank Reconciliation page at the top are fields for Interest Earned and Service Charges. After entering in an amount for one or both of these, the system will automatically generate GL entries that you can mark off for the month's bank reconciliation.

You can also create additional miscellaneous entries by clicking the button next to the label Add New Entry. The system will automatically create a GL entry that will hit the bank GL account and the selected GL account.
