Orders Received Report vs. P&L Report

Orders Received Report vs. P&L Report

The Ledger -> Reports -> Profit & Loss Statement report only includes income and expense values from orders that have been invoiced (Income -> Orders -> Fulfillment Orders -> Orders->Invoices). The Orders Received report shows values from orders whether the orders have been invoiced or not. Therefore the revenue total from the Orders Received report often won't match the revenue totals from the P&L statement because not all order amounts may have been invoiced, or they may be invoiced in a different time period from the order entry date.

Another thing to remember is that in order for GL entries to be included in the P&L statement, you will need to post the entries using Ledger -> Journal Entries -> Post Journals Now.
