Custom Field Editor

You can use Tools -> System -> Custom Fields Editor to add fields to records in the system so that you can store additional information the system is not already capturing. For example, if you need to store whether your customers are right- or left-handed, then you can add a custom field called Handedness for customers.

You can display invoice custom fields on invoice PDFs by selecting the custom fields to show with the setting Admin -> Billing -> Invoices -> Formatting -> Show Custom Fields Before Notes.

Some inventory reports, like Item Status, allow you to filter the list by custom inventory field value.
