Inventory Actual Item Costs

The Inventory Actual Item Costs add-on keeps track of the cost of individual purchases and additions to inventory and pulls from these costs when deducting items from inventory. The system doesn't use an average cost, but instead uses the direct cost of items when they were added to inventory. When the system requests a cost for an item on an invoice for example, the system will return the true cost of the oldest item in inventory.

If you'd like to have older and newer purchases balanced out, you can use the weighted average method for costing (Admin -> Inventory -> General Setup -> Inventory Cost Method).
