Default Shipping Carrier

You can set a default shipping carrier and method for drop ship POs by going to Admin -> Payables -> General Setup -> PO -> Drop Ship Default Shipping Method.

You can add to the list of carriers and shipping methods by going to Admin -> Payables -> Shipping Carriers.

You can set a default shipping method for new customers by going to Admin -> Billing -> Company Options -> Defaults -> Customers -> Default Shipping Method.

You can require users to select a shipping method for fulfillment orders by turning on the option Admin -> Billing -> Company Options -> Invoicing & Ordering -> Fulfillment Orders -> Require Shipping Preference.

Carrier and method display order

The order in which carriers and their methods appear in shipping dropdowns (on orders, customers and shipments) is set from Admin -> Payables -> Shipping Carriers: click Assign Display Order to open the Carrier/Method Display Order page, type a Sort Order number next to each carrier and method (lower numbers appear first), and click Save. Put the carriers you use most at the top so they are the first choices offered.
